O continue thy lovingkindness unto them that know thee; and thy righteousness to the upright in heart. Ps 36:10
Isn’t that a wonderful verse? It really ministered to me this morning and it was what I needed to hear. I am so often guilty of gauging the Lord’s Love for me based on my consistency to Him. And oh how I fail miserably at being consistent to my Lord. Once again, I see my righteousness as just filthy. Nothing that I can do in myself is good enough to earn God’s love and favor. He just loves me in spite of myself. More and more this is becoming real to me and I’m so glad. I want him to *continue* His lovingkindness to me! Don’t you?
Well, we’ve made it through *two* wonderful weekends since I’ve blogged (blush, blush). We are so busy around here. Homeschooling is going great and we are loving it. I have to tweak a few things here and there, but that is part of it, isn’t it? We are busy with church and piano/guitar lessons. We are busy with remodeling our house as time and money permit. Our ever-current project is our Master bathroom. We are nearing the end of our ‘getting together’ part of that feat and are about to put everything where it goes. I hope my dad & uncle can come and tile for us (and also my dad will do the electric) in the next week or two. I can’t wait to show you some pictures of the near finished and then finished product! Mostly, I can’t wait to have a bathroom near my bedroom! :) And, a pretty one at that!
I thought I’d share a few pictures from our last couple of weekends. We sure do love our weekends. LOTS of play around here and enjoying being with daddy! One would find me in and out…cleaning and straightening, cooking that special meal for my family, and heading outside to help with the remodeling or to tidy up in the yard (I would *love* to be outside more).
Erin has finally gotten into dolls…a bit. I *love* how she has the dolls *strapped* in and how she looks in her braids. I find myself fixing her hair like this just about daily. This picture just says, *Fall* to me…with the pine straw, background leaves, and colors. I love it.
My middle two *begged* us to let them paint while we were painting. I didn’t want them to get paint on them, so I thought of an alternative. I went in the house, got some food coloring, and squirted a couple dots on the *extra* boards. They sure enjoyed painting them! :)
Some of our painted boards for the bathroom walls. I *love* the Seascape Blue we picked out. I was worried it would be too dark. It’s a small bathroom and I don’t want it dark, but I think it’s *just* right. We are going for a rustic look throughout our house, but our bathroom *will* look more modern because we have bought really nice appliances and tile isn’t very rustic, yk, and that is what we have chosen for the floor. I guess it will be a mixture! :)
My honey, working hard for us! If you will notice the bean vines in the background…yesterday evening we were out in the garden with our 3 year old and we just *happened* to check the bean vines. We were astonished to find them loaded with beans! :) Needless to say, we will be having butter beans for supper tonight! Yum. I was surprised at the harvest, because we have had virtually *no* rain in the past month or so.
My kids *love* their bikes. I have never known of a *just-turned* 3 year old riding a bike like this without training wheels! He can GO!
Side view of my country home. I love it. Look how the grass has turned brown? :(
Another view of the pretty blue boards…
Homemade pizza after a busy evening of painting…
Love to look around my table and see my little blessings from God!
One day this week, I took a quick bath, came out and saw *this*…They are in a mud hole that they made under the swings. Do you *spy* the naked one??? LOL
Isn’t she a big one to be sitting by herself, getting ready to read???
Speaking of the one above, she is now awake, so I must go get her out of her crib. I trust you have a wonderful *Columbus Day*! My hubby is off (thanks, state!) and so we look forward to doing more of what you see in the pictures! :) I love having us all together!!
God Bless!
Your family is beautiful and I love it that you've shared the day to day kid fun in the photos. What a wonderful place for them to be children. Can't wait to see the end result of all your hard work. I love that shade of blue.
